At WCHS, I am the counselor for the students' last name A-E and I am also currently helping with Snowball as well. I have been in the guidance department at WCHS for the past five years. I joined WCHS after receiving my graduate degree from Bradley University in Counselor Education. I graduated from Metamora High School and then received my Bachelor of Education from Illinois State University in 1998.
I began my career in education by teaching social studies at Peoria Notre Dame High School, where I was also the Snowball advisor, varsity women's assistant track coach, and speech team coach. I have also been greatly involved into the field of counseling throughout my master's studies, having passed the National Counseling Exam and becoming a Nationally Certified Counselor. I was the president of Chi Sigma Iota Beta Phi Chapter at Bradley, which is a counseling academic and professional honor society. I am also a member of the American Counseling Association and also serve on the St. Francis Medical Center Women's Advisory Board.
