Facility Use Request

School facilities are available to community organizations during non-school hours when such use does not: (1) interfere with any school function or the safety of students or employees, or (2) affect the property or liability of the School District. The use of school facilities for school purposes has precedence over all other uses.

The following procedures must be completed at least 20 days prior to the specific event. This will provide the District enough time to determine if the organization or group is approved to use District facilities as well as any costs associated with facility use.  


Steps for requesting WCHS, District 308 Facilities

STEP 1    REVIEW THE FACILITY REQUEST INFORMATION BELOW  


STEP 2    INQUIRE ABOUT A SCHEDULE OF AVAILABILITY  

After reviewing the items above, you will need to contact the school to inquire about the availability of requested school facilities. This is required prior to submitting a formal request. 

Use of an Athletic Facility contact the Athletic Director at (309) 444-5533.
For all other facility use, contact the Assistant Superintendent at (309) 444-5502.

STEP 3     COMPLETE AND SUBMIT A FACILITY REQUEST APPLICATION  

The organization or individual interested in using District facilities must provide a certificate of insurance. Washington Community High School, District 308 must be named as an additional insured on the organization’s or individual’s liability insurance policy.

STEP  4    COMPLETE A STATEMENT OF ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS FORM  

This form helps the District determine if groups, school-related organizations and local governments are granted the use of school facilities at no cost. Other organizations granted use of facilities shall pay fees and costs.

How will I know if I am approved to use a facility?

Once the Assistant Superintendent reviews the request for facility use, a letter will be sent to the organization or individual notifying them of the status of their request. The following documents may be included depending on the request:
