Ride Your Bike to School Week

May is National Bike month and WCHS in partnership with Russell's Cycling and Fitness is hosting a Ride Your Bike to 
School week.  The kick-off to the week is Friday, April 27 in conjunction with the WCHS Fitness Club's Fitness Fair.  All registrants who ride a bike to school on Friday, April 27 will receive a healthy snack when they get to school in addition to a free Panther Cycling t-shirt provided by Russell's Cycling and Fitness.  Students who continue to ride all the following week will earn a Russell's Panther Cycling container.

WCHS Hall of Fame Information and Nomination Form

The purpose of the Washington Community High School Hall of Fame is to honor and recognize students, alumni, teams, coaches, sponsors, and friends of WCHS that have exhibited a high degree of success and/or made contributions while attending, following graduation, or being affiliated with WCHS.  Please click on the attachments for additional information and the nomination form for the inaugural class.  

Yearbook Senior Ads Available for Purchase

Pantherette Tryouts for the 2018-2019 School Year

Pantherette tryouts are coming up!
  • Technique Sessions (encouraged but not required)
    • New Dancer Technique Session: Tues, April 3rd 5:30-6:30 pm, WCHS Multi-purpose Room (For auditioning dancers who have not previously been Pantherettes)
    • Full Dancer Technique Session:  Thurs, April 12th 3:30-4:30 pm, WCHS Multi-purpose Room (All auditioning dancers.)
  • Teaching Clinics (one clinic is required, both are encouraged)
    • First Clinic Day - Monday, April 16th from 6:00-8:00 pm, WCHS Multipurpose Room
    • Second Clinic Day – Wednesday, April 18th from 3:30-5:30 pm, WCHS Multipurpose Room
  • Try-out Slots
    • Try-out slots will range from 4:00-7:00 pm on Friday, April 20th in the WCHS West Gym

Cheerleading Tryouts for the 2018-2019 School Year

Tryouts for 2018-2019 Cheerleading Squad are as follows:

April 26th from 5 - 8 PM for current Juniors and Sophomores (next year's Seniors and Juniors) in the West Gym. Waiting will be held in the MPR.

April 27th from 3:30 - 5:30 PM for current Freshmen and 8th Graders (next year's Sophomores and Freshmen) in the West Gym. Waiting will be held in the Torry Gym. 

Workshops will be held to practice stunting and learning material to prepare for the tryout. It is encouraged to make it to as many workshops as possible. Workshops will be held on the following dates:

April 7     1-3 PM in the MPR
April 12   6-8 PM in the MPR
April 22   - 1-3 PM in the Torry Gym 
                - 3 PM  - a meeting for ALL perspective participants and their parents
April 25   - 6-8 PM in the MPR
