CURRICULUM COMMITTEE

Maintain oversight of: significant course and curriculum changes, effectiveness of curriculum including review of relevant student success data, staff professional development, and education tools/programs (i.e. PAC, ELA Lab, Math Lab, Peer Tutoring, PAPER, etc.).

FACILITIES COMMITTEE

Proactively maintain, anticipate, and plan to ensure necessary, appropriate, and safe district facilities.
Annually update Systems and Major Components Designated Funds Calculations document for significant capital projects (in excess of $250,000), including revising cost estimates and updated equipment information based on updates completed during the academic year. Cost estimates will be updated as needed and update equipment information based on updates completed during each academic year.
Communicate to Finance Committee regarding financial needs for near-term facilities projects.
Review requests for facility services requests valued at over $25,000.

FINANCE COMMITTEE

Preserve the Illinois State Board of Education’s “Financial Recognition” status so that we continue to have the financial strength necessary to support excellent educational, co-curricular, and extra-curricular opportunities for our students, staff, and community. Maintain strong operating expense-to-revenue ratio, while maintaining adequate reserve cash balances (ideally 180 days cash-on-hand in the operating funds combined). Identify and provide resources for future significant and foreseeable expenditures. Optimize opportunities for fiscal efficiency.

NEGOTIATIONS COMMITTEE

Work with administration to prepare for future MOU's, contract negotiations, and represent board’s interest in said negotiations. Keep abreast of area and state negotiations in order to review with the board of education as needed.

POLICY COMMITEE

Employ Press Plus and administrative recommendations in updating Board Policy while also overseeing district documents and policies for which the board provides oversight (e.g. Student Handbook).
