Washington Township Districts 50 and 308 have established an intergovernmental agreement to provide services.  Washington Community High School District 308 is the administrative district for this agreement.

Mission Statement
Washington Township Special Education Cooperative (WTSEC) exists to provide relevant and comprehensive support to our four member districts in order to best meet the academic and social/emotional need of diverse learners through research based scientific interventions and evaluations, as well as collaborative support to school staff and parents.

Goals
To provide all eligible students with Free Appropriate Public Education

  • To ensure students receive their education within the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE)

  • To identify and provide comprehensive services for students who meet eligibility categories set forth in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)

  • To provide administrative support for state required reporting

  • To facilitate the transition from Early Intervention services into the public school system

PA 101-163  

 -Within 3 days of your child’s IEP meeting, your student’s IEP paperwork in advance of the meeting for your review. We will not include  paperwork that determines eligibility or educational placement as those are decisions we will make together as an IEP team.

 -Will be emailed the IEP documents; however, if you prefer they can be mailed, or you can pick them up at the school or township office, please let them know in advance.

 - You have the right to review your child's records prior to any IEP meeting. 

 - You have the right to request service logs for related services that your child receives. These include dates and times for service in:  speech and language services, occupational therapy services, physical therapy services, school social work services, school counseling services, school psychology services, and school nursing services. 

 - You will be notified if an IEP service is not implemented within ten school days after the service was to be initiated as set forth in the IEP.
